Just wanted to say hi from all of us coonhound owners in Canada. Think your doing a great job. We adopted our bluetick from a pound up here. They were going to put her down because she was "spoiled and untrainable". We have had her about 18 months and have been able to train her just fine. Coonies are great, goofy, snugglers. Far smarter than the average dog, I mean how many dogs can train people to think they are untrainable. LOL! Keep up the good work.

We can't believe that it has been almost 2 years since we adopted Piper! She has been such a wonderful addition to our family. Everyday we laugh at her goofy expressions...she is such a sweetheart so full of love and kisses! Thank you so much Vikki for giving us the opportunity to take this beautiful gift and give her a forever home.

Hi Vicki! I adopted the kitten Peanut from you about 3 months ago, and I couldn't be happier! He is the most loving and playful kitten I've ever been around. We'll be seeing you soon for a new brother or sister! Thanks again.

Hi, Vikki! It's been almost a year since we left. We are doing great! We are so happy you took us in so our new family could give us the best home ever. We go for walks daily. We visit the dog park regularly. We love to chew our bones and bark at the squirrels while we wait for mom amd dad to come home. The best part of our day is snuggling in bed with our half sister, Cherry and Mom amd Dad. We owe you our lives. You are a very special person...Thank you, thank you, thank you! We miss you. oxox
Love, Robin and Eagle

I had no idea there was a dog rescue so close to my house. I live about 3 miles away from you, near & mile and the Southfield freeway. I love dogs. We have one. Just wanted to say hello.

We just adopted a Walker and have also a Redbone/Pitbull mix. We volunteer at our local no-kill shelter and just don't understand why coonhounds have to wait and wait for homes. They are great dogs.

Update: Feb. 2009. Tucker continues to thrive and is loved by all. My wife thought it was time to not have animals, haveing become "empty nesters," but she really loves this dog. I would argue with the description on the early pages, though. Tucker was our easiest to train dog, ever. He is perfect on a leash, does a ton of tricks, listens -- virtually perfect. Maybe we were just lucky, or perhaps I have gotten good at this at my age, but truly, he was a dream to train. I was prepared to spend money for help but it was totally unnecessary with Tucker. Anyway, thanks Vikki. 2+ years now and we couldn't have hoped for a better dog and friend.

Wendy(to you Bug-a-Boo) looks wonderful. You have done a marvalous job bringing a poor pitiful pup back to life. I thank-you for rescuing her after I rescued her. I hope she finds a fantastic home.

Tucker (aka Rex) has been with us just over a year and everyone says he's the best dog ever. Smart, trained perfectly, funny, sweet, gentle ... loves coming to the office fore the day. Thanks, Vicki! We won first prize!
