What a big goof! Harper is the comic book version of the hound dog. Laid back, sweet as can be and just happy to be alive. He has never met a stranger, loves to play with the other dogs, licks the cats and likes to cuddle on the couch with me.
Harper came out of a shelter where he stole a few hearts and they worked desperately to find him a place in rescue. He had never been in a house before and shiny floors are still a bit of a problem. He is a very well behaved boy naturally and is learning proper manners. He is house and crate trained, up to date on vaccines and will be neutered in December.
This handsome boy has problems with his hips, even at his young age. Although it sounds like he'll be a huge expense, once you meet this boy you'll see why he's worth it. We have attached Harper's xray here. You can see that his left hip in nonexistant. Luckily Harper is in no noticable pain. He runs and plays and keeps up with the other boys. We are continuing to monitor his movement and seeking the best course of treatment for him.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Special Needs: Harper's hips seem to be very weak and unstable. It looks like he will need hip replacement surgery and physical therapy. Although we would love to see him in a home, that is probably too much to hope for yet. If he is adopted, MCR will continue to support his medical needs.
